Nassarius? It is not

Got this guy with my nassarius snails order (the small type).. it did come out to feed and behave just like the other nassarius, but the shell is more like a cowrie?
And the eyes are red. It's kind of scary.

Aw, I think he's pretty, not scary. He is another of the predatory/scavenging marginellids, but he may not be big enough to eat anything that will make you hate him. I believe this one is Prunum apicinum, a Florida/Caribbean species.

What do they eat? and how big do they get?

They will eat carrion, like the Nassarius snails, and they will also ambush and eat tiny snails. I'm not sure if they'd catch and eat tiny crustaceans, but they will eat dead ones. That one looks to be an adult, he won't get any bigger.

Thank you, so it's reef safe overall, then, tiny snails.. I was just worry he will prey on my other nassarius of similar size
