Nassarius?

Went to my LFS yesterday to pick up some nassarius for my DSB, and all of their smaller ones (vibex) had died, all they had left were the larger (tonga?) variety. My question is, whats the major differences, what do you reccomend, and what are your experiences with either.

BTW it is a 29 gallon tank with a 10 gallon sump/ fuge. DSB is located in fuge.

They're pretty much the same thing, only the larger ones will turn over far more sand due their size.

I'm not sure. The Tongan variety seems to be easier to get at various LFS around here. Very rarely do I see the smaller ones. Like I said though, they're basically going to perform the same actions, I just think you get more bang for your buck with the larger ones.

I think the tonga variety are faster and more affective. They pop out of the sand as soon as they smell food. They only stay in the sand bed except if they smell food in a higher spot. The vibex ones IME sometimes hang out on the rocks but I rarely notice their presence.

here are some tonga ones along with other species I used to have
