But you could service the skimmer and/or the reactors without affecting any other system. With the manifold you can't just shut one system off. You have to also re-balance the others each time.
I don't mean to start an argument, just to suggest an alternate path for your consideration.

Yeah, I see where you are coming from with the ease of maintenance. I appreciate you taking the time to put in your thoughts.
Supposedly my three overflows will be capable of draining 3,600+. I am estimating that I am putting 1500-2000 gph into the display. So when the skimmer @ 900 gph, which is the most water demanding accessory, is shut off using a ball valve on the manifold. It will add the 900 to 2,000. That's 2,900. That is over estimating too. When that extra 900 is brought to 6 ft. It will be greatly reduced. Overflows should be able to handle at LEAST 600 more gph before their limits are being pushed.

I'm going to tag along as I am also thinking of using Custom Aquarium to build my new 300 (72x36x27) using 3/4" glass. I also want a low iron front and left side. I want to use a 24" ghost type overflow instead of their overflow, so I will have them drill the appropriate holes on the right side panel.
Their pricing on tanks is very reasonable and the fact that delivery to your door is very appealing. I also like that they use aluminum for their frames instead of plastic. I also have a quote from Miracles, but I haven't committed to either just yet.

So we ordered the Reeflo Dart Gold from Drs Foster and Smith today. When did they start charging state tax for out of state purchasers? Still have quite a few things to get done before the tank arrives. Mainly, I need to start building the sump. It is a Aqueon 75g tank that will be modeled after Aqueon's proflex sump only much simpler.

Wow I did not know that. I see that just happened in the past months. That kinda sucks because I spend quite a bit of $$ through them. No tax is kinda the main appeal to buying online.

Update.
Received the Reeflo Super Dart Gold today. It came with a 5 year warranty! I know these pumps are known to leak eventually. Luckily I used to work for a mechanical seal company that is across the street from my parents house. So when the seal does go I won't have to wait for Reeflo to ship it to me. I have taken some criticism on using one pump to run everything but my plan is to keep my Panworld 200ps from my 120 and use it as a spare. I know the inlets and outlets don't match so I'll have to get some adapters, but it will do for the time it takes me to repair the Dart. The main reason for running one pump is to keep energy costs down.
Also, I have decided not to use the h2Overflows from CustomAquariums. After doing some research I found that some people were complaining about its ability to skim the waters surface. My new choice for overflow is a Coast to Coast with BeanAnimal plumbing. So I am having CustomAquariums drill my three holes and I will build the overflow when I receive the tank. I am a huge fan on symmetry so when we decided to have the three holes drilled off center of the tank to avoid the stands center leg, I just about pulled my hair out. Now for some photos.

The overflow will span the entire length of the tank 8ft. I plan to add black acrylic to the front of the overflow so you won't be able to see the plumbing inside. I also can't wait to see the tank. I have not received any build pics from them but maybe they'll send me some before it goes out the door.
The more I look around at tank builders, the more I keep coming back to Custom Aquariums. I like the idea of the aluminum frame and they are super fair on pricing. It also seems that they build a lot of 300+ gallon tanks (even though most are fresh water). I think I am as anxious to see your tank as you are ��
