Nate's 300g Build

I placed my order with custom aquarium on 3/5. Same dimensions as you! I have been very pleased with them so far. The tank is the last piece to my upgrade so I am hoping they finish at the 8 week mark.

Well that is convenient. Whay size tank did you order? Did they let you stop in and check on the progress? At least if something happens to the tank the builder can come to your house.

Drilled the 75 gallon sump last night for the 2" SCH 80 bulkhead. And finaly I got to finish the cover that holds the 5 drain lines.

Move the sump out of the stand and thank me later. It looks like you have the room.

Yeah, not gonna happen. A lot of thought went into this build. All of my equipment is external so I won't need "easy access". Normally I don't run filter socks or floss but I am setting the sump up to be able to. I will be cutting a access hole in the top of the sump cover for maintenance of filter media. The room is plenty big but what you don't see is my storage area full of fish supplies that will eventually make their way back into the fish room.

Forgot to post pics of the UV Sterilizer we purchased. Its a Emperor Aquatics 80w Smart HO. The thing is so ridiculously huge! For size reference, those inlet/outlets are 2" slips.

Filter floss could be put on top of eggcrate. Now I have to cut a plexiglass piece with four holes for filter socks.

DIY 2" inlet screen for the pump. Of coarse I need to buy an end cap.

Love the sump but are you going to an access door in that lid to be able to change the filter sock? If not, it looks like will be a bit of a pain to change picking the entire lid up with water draining
