anyone use one? any pros/cons? I have access to one for a great price it is the CDECX-3 with phophate option. my issue is my tank is only 75 gal. thanks in advance for any info.

Thorton;

Yes, I have one on my 92-gallon. I also have the CDECX-3 model. I love this unit. Don't worry about it being oversized for your 75-gallon. It will just exchange more water. You may only need to set it to exchange the water less than the maximum 6 times per day.

The only con I can think of is that it does require manual intervention to get it started and cycled. But once it is cycled and set to run as many times as you want per day, then all you will have to do is refill the liquids and they get used up.

In case you were not aware, the NatuReef company is local. They are just east of 441 and Commercial Blvd.

Good Luck And Have Fun!!!;

Robbie at coral seas pets can help u set it up - since there's a little bit of "science" behind it to get it going properly.

Its not as simple as lets say a sulphur or a vodka based unit but certainly one of the original units and it simply works flawlessly when setup properly.

Eva and Robbie sold the Coral Sea Pets store to a new owner a few months ago. I don't know if they still work at the store or not. If not, I have Eva's email address if you want to try to contact them.

I do agree with Gasman059 that Robbie would be a great option to assist you in getting it started right.
