Has anyone used nature's ocean sand? How does it compare to carib sea sand? The nature's ocean seems to be a bit cheaper and offers 20lb bags instead of just 10 by carib sea. I'm assuming it shouldn't matter which one I choose since both are aragonite, but some more experienced guidance would be welcome.

Cant comment on natures ocean. Caribsea on the other hand Ive used on each of my previous two builds. While its nice enough looking it took a lot of work to get it clean
Im in the middle of a new 150g build and Ive just discovered Tropic Eden sand... MAN this is nice stuff. Its really beautiful and even though I rinsed it, I honestly didn't need to. The water ran clear. Very clean stuff. Premium Aquatics caries it and another retailer that I cant remember at the moment

I just put Tropic Eden in my tank. I didn't rinse because it said not to. I scooped out some of the white liquid. $33 a bag on ebay! 20#

what size tropic eden sand is that?
Really I just skip the live sand and get 40lbs of Caribsea Dry Sand. I think I paid $43.00 last batch I bought on Ebay for 40lbs. It's not that hard to clean, to be honest. The best trick I learned was to fill a bucket up with 10 or so pounds at a time and sit the bucket in the bathtub and let the water flow gently enough that it slowly overflows. Walk away for a few minutes or run till it's clear. Which doesn't take that long.
