Looks like a rock anemone, or a maxi mini anemone. The care is the same. Lots of light, and occasional feedings.

Ya Dad has a great eye with the camera, very nice shots!
I can not beleive the biodiversity of life in your LR. You are going to be finding new creatures in that rock for years, I bet. Beautiful rock! Striper looks pretty cool. What kind of goby is it?

Wow naughty tank is looking good :)
thanks :D

sweet, okay :) i put them both right under the light but they both ended up moving down, i assume they're where they like it though...

i tried to feed them this mix of things, and i guess this anemone doesn't really like the little red worms... it tried them and spit them out! the pink one gobbled them right up though :p

thanks, i loooove this rock. it's awesome. i'm just still unable to bring my nitrates down, doing water changes and hoping everything survives.... i have no idea what kind of goby it is... must be a common one in tampa bay :p

I REALLY want one of these.

awh it's too bad you don't live in colorado, i'd give you one! i have too many i think for my tiny cube... there's 6+ of them in there hehe.

I'm not sure if you're great at DIY projects, but this flashlight is made with a cree LED. It uses 3AAA batteries. The Cree bulbs are the type everyone is using to DIY the large over the tank arrays they are making. I bet you could get this light, and hardwire/jimmy rig it so that it would run off a 4.5 Volt DC Transformer. Even a three Volt Transformer would be fine. That would be better for growth than the light you've posted. But it would require a little work to get it assembled.

You are off to a great start. Most people rush and lose nothing but stock, hard work, and patients. This hobby is a turtle race. Nothing will ever happen fast, but you know this and will have nothing short of a beautiful tank. Two years from now you are going to look back and should and will be proud of what you have created. FYI. Take pics from the start. It is so cool to look back and really see your tank from start to masterpiece.

You have flower anemones....and a condy, both I collect from the keys....the condy is fine....is how they act....he will shrink to nothing...and then next day be all inflated...normal stuff!

They like raw shrimp the best.....

great job on keeping everything alive in such a small tank!

and look here for ID's......

nah i mean i work in a physics lab so i bet i could probably do that... but i think i'll just go the easy slightly more expensive route :spin3:

I am tempted to order a really small order from tbsaltwater.com just to see what I get. Looking great, nice tank!

Yeah we have both of those anemones here in the Keys. I see them all the time while diving. Same with the Gorgs.
