There are a lot of nice corals on the fragswapper... but the attendence at the swap seems quite low given that we less than 2 weeks away.

There are more views on the Hot wings thread than on the swap thread !!!!

There just does not seem to be enough enthisiasum being generated for a frag swap that is being touted as "the best swap", record breaking attendence etc.

Start showing us your raffle items, may be that will generate some more interest.

Sorry if this is off topic, but what is up with fragswapper? Mal was saying he was having problems. I havn't registered on the site, but I am not sure if I want to. Do you get to see pictures of what people have to trade? I wish you could see a little more of the site before you have to register, I find it anoying.

You can...just go to the site and pick the NCPARS swap on the left. Or just use this link to go right to the NCPARS swap:
http://www.fragswapper.com/setmeeting.asp?MeetingKey=31

You can see what's listed and who's coming. If you want to pre-trade or register for the event you have to register for the site first...it doesn't cost anything..I just use emails to keep people honest. :) And I've never given them away..and I have been asked.

And Mal's problems is Mal's PC...for some reason it keeps caching the main listing page no matter what he picks. It works fine for him at work...and for the other 296 visitors that have been visiting daily this month (I'm sure many are repeats) for the 3 active swaps it's hosting. If Mal kills his IE cache it works once-- I think I told him to try FireFox. :)

I will say that right at this moment my hosting company's SQL server is running slow..maybe they're doing maintenance...but it's up and running..just not as speedy as I'd like..but I guess you get what you pay for with cheap hosting.

The whole site's free...I eat the hosting costs...so I don't normally get too many complaints. I have about 5 or 6 clubs actively using the site and 15 organization total registered across 7 states and have hosted 30+ swaps in the few years it's been up.

Enjoy.

by the way we are planning a frag propagation demonstration at the swap and the frags will be raffled off at the event.if anyone wants to donate to the demonstration,it will be appreciated.thanks Dan

Cool. I'll probably sign up for the sight tonight. Just don't like to sign up for every single reef site I run into with out knowing anything about it. The swap sounds like a good time, I'm hoping I will be able to attend.

Jon

There's definitely some nice new frags available up there in the past week. Frags, two speakers... it should be fun!

Good to hear from those interested in coming. We are going to be doing another frag demo and the frags will be put into the raffle.

Hope to see you all there! OH, and its a catered event so there will be plenty of food and drinks. This is covered either by membership to the club or the entrance fee for people who are not members. You can sign up to be a member at the swap or just pay the admission fee.

Ricky,

I sent you info regarding John's talk. Did you get it ? Also, can you post that on the fragswapper site, and in any flyers that you plan to put out.

You should also be advertising in the neighboring club forums - eg. NJ club, Washington DC (WAMAS), Manhattan Reefers, baltimore (CMAS)... since there are all within 2 hrs from York area.

sanjay.

I already posted in neighboring club forums weeks ago. Most of them anyway. I did recieve the info and it will be included in the flyer and the website as soon as possible.

Thanks Sanjay it is very helpful.
