also, i added some cleanup crew to the 65g today...

28 Hermits... white, red legged, and blue legged...

and 6 Turbo Snails...

I want to add some nassurus snails, a couple more different urchins, and a diamond goby to keep the sand nice, as they do an amazing job at that imo... but i'll need some covers of some sort before i add one of course...

Very useful for me to get a reference on growth. Did you say 6 months between the first and "now" shot of Joe the Coral? Wow!

I have a few blue acro frags/mini colonies (two with greenish polyps and two with light brown polyps) that may be the same species as yours.

I had to move earlier this year, which stressed many of my acros. They are just now regrowing lost tissue and getting their colors back. My Pink Lemonade started out as a tiny 1/4 inch frag I bought for $10. It's growing slowly, likely because of the move. Not branching...only encrusting the base.

I have two Sunset Monti colonies that were not stressed out at all and are encrusting very well. I have green and orange monti caps that grow as crazy as yours.

yea about ocotober to now, so 6 or 7 months... i dont really feel like i get very good growth, buyt decent... i know quite a few more peeps personally who get much better growth rates... but they have more established systems which are older and setup differently... and plus, my system has changed ALOT the last 8 or 9 months, and i am finally gonna jus leave it be... this is the main reason i am gonna hold off on the tank upgrade for a while...

as far as that being a Joe, its hard to say, i dont know enough yet to be certain... it could be a few things... best thing to do is go the the sps id forum and show it to some experts

its kinda hard to see, but last nite one of my porcelian crabs was cruising it elevator style on one of the turbo snails thought it was a bit silly and unique for the moment... he is on the bottom side, so he kind of blends in, they were a few inches from the top of the glass lol...

thanks bud! unfortunately i am only about 11 months in to keeping sps, and my first 14 or so where moved around so much the first 9 months as i didnt know what i was doin and they still managed to grow a bit, but should have done much better... i am hoping alot of the new ones i got the past couple months which are a little more "higher end", and the older ones, do alot better the next 6 months and after as I will be keeping them a little more stable in that regards... especially now that i have learned that leaving them be is so important...

but thanks bro, means alot, especially from someone with an amazing tank such as yours... :beer:
