i got a blue S.Gigantea about a month now. i kept BTA, LTA, S.Haddon and H.magnifica before. this is a first time i deal with S.Gigantea.
the carpet is about 3.5-4" fully open, when the light off about 2-2.5".
the mouth was open since day one, about size of dime.
Light: AI Nano (30W60B60RB)
flow: it got enough.
Alk:120PPM (Hanna)
Ca:360PPM(Hanna)(adjusting now, the sps were take ca out faster than i thought.)
Mg:1400PPM Salifert
PO4: 0.04PPM (Hanna)
NO3: 1 or lower Salifert
tank is about 1.5 years old mix reef with mostly sps.
it eats well(mysis), good color, sticky/firm tentacles and firmly attach. it's in the same area as the flame tip bta. flow is going from the carpet and toward the flame tip then move to return area. it never turn inside out. if i stop the flow i can see the tentacles are moving by itself.
the anemone's health dont seem move forward or fall backward...
well, a few of friends that keep S.Gigantea told me, it will slowly close back up after sometime. i just want to see if anyone else have other suggestions. i will prefer not to do antibiotic treatment if i dont have to.
thanks for the input.
