Need a Replacement Ballast

My Odyssea ballast just fried itself.

Good thing I was home. It's a little stinky though.

Anyways. What ballast should I get?

It's 150w DE HQI.

Also, I have NO idea how to wire this fixture to a new ballast. I'll need help with that.

You need to put a big taco in front of Lost Marbles and have him do it.

I've got a couple new Sunlight Supply Dual 175 watt pulse start ballasts for $125.00/each. These babies are very pricey nowadays with the price increases.

I have a clip on coralife if you need something over your tank for now. You can probably also just use the ballst to fire your existing bulb...I can also help with the new ballasts...

I bought that dual PFO 150watt.

Should make things much nicer.

I have a 70 watt clip on that I'm trying to temporarily use. If we can meet up on Saturday I'd love to borrow that light for the time being. The 70 watt is supposed to be on the nano, but it's just got zoos and blastos in it so it's not a big deal.

Yes I will take taco's for fixing a ballast. Those ballast are the only ones that fry hotter than the sun. Gateway was full of smoke because of one

decided to ditch the ballast dave.


I think it should be simple to wire up a new one. if I'm unsure of it BK will help

good. I'm experienced in fire fighting now. I certified myself. to do so I touched the ballast and said "ow that's really hot. something smells like burning rubber. I think I should unplug the ballast." and the rest is history.
