Need advice... just bought a tube anemone

I was at Pacific Tropicals in Fountain Valley, and a tube anemone caught my eye. The sales guy said it was ok in a reef tank, so I bought it. I am drip acclimating it now, and decided to do a google search on it. Turns out it can be quite aggressive. Anyone have any knowlege or experience with these anenome? Should I try to get rid of it before it can do any damage? BTW, my tank is 125g. I dont have any small fish now, but I plan to add small gobies, a mandarin, etc later on. LMK what you think about this anemone: Friend of foe?

Anything that hangs out at the bottom of the tank (i.e. gobies and mandarins) could be in harms way. In a tank with bigger fish that constantly swim it wouldnt be a problem.

Sarus has a large one in his 300G reef, he also has lots of fish w no problem. It will sting your corals if they are in reach.

But the good about them is that they dont move at all unlike other anenome do .I currently have 3 in my tank.

Thats what I liked about it too. Not to mention it was AWESOME looking. But.. I plan to have lots of small fish that scurry about the substrate... blennies, gobies, mandarins, etc... so I went ahead and took it back. Got a GREAT gbta and monti cap from LAVERDA. Thanks anyway, guys.

for future reference:
tube anemones are completely stationery and harmless once they establish a good location to bury into the sandbed. They are no threat to fish (or any corals as long as you don't place them within reach of the tentacles) and only require a piece of krill/etc. once a week or so. I've had my purple tube anemone longer than any of my corals (going on 5 years)
I don't see where they could possibly deserve an "aggressive" rating from my experience.

I agree with the reefmeister!!, i have 3 tube anemones in my tank with no problems, i have a mandarin, scooter blenny, 6 line and a few others that just swin by with no problems

there not a problem at all, just sit them in the sand and your set

I have had one in my 100 gal for about 2 years, I have had no problems with it.

I wish you guys had posted those responses before I took it back! I read that advanced aquarist article... I think I will get another one in a few weeks. Thanks everyone! I guess I kinda jumped the gun... saw a few articles that said they COULD be a problem, and I assumed... (i know... the cardinal sins... assuming and jumpin the gun.)

I had one for about 6 months, fed it mysis every other day and then it just died.

strangly, it died the same day I put 3 peppermint shrimp in the tank to eat some apatasia. (which they took care of fast)
