I have a 120g clownfish/anemone reef tank. Two of the nems are flower/rock anemones. One is green/brown and the other is orange with white. We've had them for over 2 years.
They are under Geisman T5s, 14k and Actinic bulbs. The lighting was changed from halides about a year ago but aside from the anemone we have not had many problems with livestock, I have a lot of SPS corals growing really well.
The brown one is still very happy and growing, eats food whenever given. A few months ago the orange stopped taking food and has slowly shrunk, from about 6 inches across at the start to probably about 3 inches now. They both have never really moved on their own, until a couple days ago when the orange walked all the way across its rock and sort of lodged itself at the base of the rock against the sand (further into the shade).
The brown and orange were both at the same depth but the orange was more in the corner and probably got a little less direct light. What do you think would be the best course of action to try and save this animal? Should I move it to more direct light in the center of the tank? Normally I try to just leave the animals alone but this one obviously is missing something it needs.
Thanks a lot for any help you can offer.
