Need Apex Configuration Help?

I've got a new Apex base unit and a new EB8 but unfortunately the display will not light up and I'm trying to log onto it via direct ethernet connection from my PC. I've tried the default addresses to the Apex but can't connect. I tried to do a DOS ipconfig /all but the screen immediately goes away and I can't read it. Help, please!

Thanks, I'm trying to but line is busy for now.

If I could see the DOS output I could hopefully see the IP of the Apex. I was hoping one of the PC experts might be able to tell me how to capture the "Run" ipconfig /all output.

Got Neptune on the phone and with their usual expert service we got it all running!
