need care info for yellow leather (Sarcophyton elegans)

Just picked one up yesterday from Union. Anybody have experience with this coral? I have him at the bottom of my tank which has 260 watts pc's. He is in a good area of flow also. i will post a pick later but was wondering if i should get him closer to the light? hows thier care level if anyone has experienced first hand as this is the first for me with this species. thanx

Put him up high on the rockwork. I have 2 250w MH and I originally had him on the bottom for about 3 months, and then moved him to the top...he is doing noticably better and has grown considerably for about 6 months now.

Nice thing about leathers is there is very little you need to do.

I have several leathers under VHO lighting in my 180. All are doing well and have grown significantly over the past several years. One went from about 1/2" diameter and is now over a foot across!
