Need Generator

I don't have one. I had power when I went to work. If you needed too, I have space in my tanks to baby sit.

Also, an old timer told me about a trick he'd use to do when his power was out. Every once in a while, stir the tank water around to introduce oxygen.

you can wrap your tank in cardboard too help hold in heat.

i know Freed has one that he posted a while ago about. Not sure if he still has it or not. It is probably back a few pages now.

I have the tank running on a generator now. My dad had an extra 8000 watt one! I hope this get this fixed...it's been 10 hrs now.

I hear that. I still don't have power either. My neighbors across the street have power, so will be running extention cords across the street when I get home to get at least the pumps and heaters running.

Power is back!!!!!

My power came back on at 2am. I couldn't believe how much temp my 120 lost. It was out for 17 hours though.
I ran an extension cord from a power inverter from the car and rand a Korilia and a maximod off of it about 1 time and hour at least until I fell asleep.
I only have found one casualty. For some reason my Potters Angel was laying on the bottom of the tank when the power came back on. Probably from the temp loss. Tank dropped to 70 degrees.

Looks like I also lost my Lemonpeel, and Flamehawk as well.
All corals seem just fine.

I would have thought the corals to be more sensitive to temp change than the fish. Sorry to hear about your losses...

I do have one but I had to use mine from Friday the morning of the ice storm until Tuesday night the following week 7:15pm If anyone needs power in the future let me know.
