need help finding a led light

I've been researching and I need some help. I have a 30 gal that is 36" long and about 12" front to back 16" tall. It is odd shaped like a long hex with a flat back. I've looked at fluval sea, and ecoxotic panorama and they aren't getting great reviews. reefbreeders value light is only 16" long. I need a light that is long but not deep (front to back). I'm on a budget (around $250) so the photon series reefbreeder 32" is out. Would a 16" value fixture cover my space? Seems like it would only really cover the middle and the light would drastically fall off on the edges. Any ideas?

I have not found many bad reviews for ecoxotics, and no bad reviews for the current design... Check these out:

I hope these help with your LED decision! Personally I'm planning to go with a custom 24" panorama pro with 3 blue/magenta strips and 4 12k white/blue strips. I may trim it down to 2 and 3; I'm still researching (and price IS a factor). I have experience with Mazarra Maxspect and that experience tells me that some LED fixtures are junk. But Ecoxotic I have a good feeling about. :)
