I was moving stuff around today and managed to break the drain pipe off in the bottom of the bulkhead. Anyone know where I maybe able to get one locally? Dont really have the ability to leave this like this for very long.

We have Ace hardware, Lowes, Home depot here. Which might be my best bet?

thanks guys!

None of those places have them here, let alone knowing what the heck a bulkhead is in the first place. If you can, try a hot tub store. Or any local reef store. Wish I could help more, but your a long way from "Kansas"!

no local reef store. at least not a decent one.

will a menards have one?

I can at least fill the main tank if I have to tonight. Plumbing supply place? anywhere locally?

I'd say get on the phone, know your sizes, and if you're desperate you might call your plumber and ask where HE'D find a bulkhead connector: some of the plumbing supply places aren't your ordinary, being in the industrial end of town. stress it has to be pvc drinking grade pipe.
Meanwhile, if you can't get your tank normalized pdq, go to the pet store, get a cheap airpump, airhose, and a bubblewand: lower it endfirst into your display tank, plug it in, and let it bubble: that will keep aeration and gas-exchange going while you sort this out. It being winter, you may want to move your heater up to your display. That should let you last through this while you sort out the plumbing.

Do you have a reef club for MI?
Did you look on craigslist for someone selling reef stuff? maybe they might have a bulkhead
Add to list... Pool supply store

I was able to construct a bulkhead from plumbing parts in Menards. It went into the spot of a 1" bulkhead. But it is 1.25" ID. Worked out very well, no leaks.

sometimes you maybe able to use grey electrical plastic fittings as substitues as they have flatter edges to seal better. You still need a gasket so be sure it fits well... This should only be a temp solution and a proper bulkhead should be used.
