Need help with a RD 8.2

So I've had the pump running for about a year or so and am finally going to fix the problem I've been having. The pump is sucking up air.

I bought a 1 1/4" hose thinking that the intake was the same as the out. I doesn't fit. Does anyone know what size the intake is on the 8.2 so i can attach a hose and a peice of PVC. I have the older style without the unions so it's just a peice of pipe.

TIA

Try a 1.5" tube for the inlet. Also, if you have a little 12" ruler handy you can do the conversation on it, or a tape measure. I do not have one of those around here to measure though, I apologize.

Also, sorry for the delayed response, as I've been away at MACNA for the last week.

To convert to metric just measure the tube and multiple by 25.4 and that will give you the mm equivalent. Typically it will be rounded to a hole number. They do make adapters from metric to imperial pipe.
