need help with building my nano

the tank will be right at 25 gallons, what kind of flow rate (gph wise) do i need to keep th coral i was looking at? I'm looking at pumps and will prolly go with a external because I wont hae much rom in the sump for it. any recomendations. I would really keep this build going but i need some help.

I think you should consider something a little different as far as the fuge/sump area. It doesn't look very accesable for cleaning and what not. as far as a pump goes a minimum of 10x/hr exchange rate is what I normally recomend after you figure in head loss and what not. A mag 5 would probably take care of you alright.

I would really like to make one suggestion on your build from experience. Buy everything you intend to fit in your system before you complete your stand and tank.

Test fitting as you go, the measurements from manufacturers are NOT always accurate and plumbing can cause some "major adjustments" that will need to be made, there are many builds in the pages of this forum where stands and many hours of labor and $$$$ have been wasted because one little pipe needed just another inch to be accessible. And remember this even with nanos, "unions are our friend" but they take space!!

I'll prolly make the sump shorter which will make it more accesable. Also I'm not building the sump will last. The stand is framed but I'm not putting the sides on till i build the sump. I've read that the mag5 is alittle noisey? Its going to be in my room so is their any other pump that will be alittle quieter thats also cheap?

Thanks for the input guys, I'm reading on here alot trying to learn so i could get everything right. the sump i rindered above is 14.6 gallons and I just used the calc and only need 7.1. anyone want to scatch a good design up for me? the inside dimentions are 15x20x21 minus the electrical box in the corner which is 8x7x 16.5.

thank you. I'm making all the siding 3/4 in oak and all the beems are 3/4x3/4 wood with another 3/4x3/4 on the load bearing part. once the siding is on I'm going to put in more beems. Its kinda built the way you build a house :) as you can see the tank will be recessed in the stand 2.25 inches.

I just need to figure out my sump design. exterior will prolly look like this...

heres a update, working on the new sump design and figuring out what skimmer and return pump I'm going to go with. after the sumps built I'll put on the other to sides and everything. the cut out in the electrical compartment is for a RKL display
