Need help with flatworms.

I just noticed that i have flatworms in my tank. It's a 24G nanocube with a two rhodactis shrooms and a ricordea. Are either of these shrooms good hosts for flatworms?? At the moment the worms are very small, maybe 1/16" in length.

I have seen other threads regarding the ridding of flatworms but couldn't find them right now and the search isn't working. What should i use to treat my tank with.

I don't know if it makes a difference but i am going to be moving from socal to arizona this weekend. Should i wait til after the move to treat? There are a couple of acros in the tank aswell. Will any of the meds hurt these corals. Thanks in advance.

salifert's flatworm exit works well. I wouldn't treat unless you are around to do some small water changes over the course of a few days. The meds will kill the worms, which will die and cause an ammonia spike (water changes needed) Your corals would not be impacted immediately but your fish and inverts would. HTH

I just had a case of flatworms after adding a few new corals with rock bases. I used the Salifert Flatworm exit, waited the 30 minutes and saw them start to peel off my elegance coral. I then turned my carbon reactor on, and all the fish in the tank started eating them like nobodys business. That was it, tested water in morning and everything was normal.

I had a sixline wrasse and he ate a lot of them, but he was acting the way sixlines do so i removed it. I will just dose the tank after i move. I'm sure things will be fine. Thanks again for all of the suggestions.

Your best bet is to do it before they get out of control. I had flatworms pretty bad, kept forgetting and spreading them from tank to tank but they do best in low flow areas which is why they are on your mushrooms. My two lightly infected tanks I dosed, did small water changes to suck out the worms and ran carbon after. My infested tank I siphoned a ton out before dosing and took out everything I could and dipped them in dosed water so there weren't as many dying in tank and to hopefully get them all, this was my third time trying in that tank. All gone now though so that approach worked.
