Hello,
I got a new LTA 4 days ago, it has yet to attach it's foot. I dug a hole for it and surrounded it with rocks placed it and filled around the hole base with sand. I know nems are picky and like to move and I've left him alone to find his spot...
The problem is he won't attach. He is either laying on his side under the rock ledge or upside down under the rock ledge. Some other considerations, I bought 2 clarkiis that were being hosted by him in the lfs. Initially, I put the nem in the tank and the clowns in another tank to let him settle in, after lots of laying upside down and on his side under the rock ledge. I re-placed him in a spot dug down to the glass surrounded by small rocks and introduced the clarkiis. Same results. .. clarkiis are being hosted but he worked himself out of the hole and is under the ledge again. See picture. So my question is, is he shying from the lights? Since it's much stronger than the lfs lights? (High power LEDs) or is something else wrong? I see no damage to his foot. Water params are perfect, have two other nems and zoas thriving. He accepted some shrimp a couple times but its hit and miss sometimes he lets it go...
My main concern is why hasn't he attached somewhere?
Thanks in advance.
