Hello,

I have a 90gal reef with soft and hard corals. I'm looking to buy a Tunze, but not sure if the 6000 stream will work well. Once I purchase pump where would you recommend I place it and the direction of the flow?

Thanks,

A 6000 should work really well for this tank. I would position it to circulatte diagnally corner to corner or long ways side to side.

Hey Roger,

Thanks for your reply. I just received my 6000 w/ a single controller. I positioned it exactly the way you suggested. However, my single controller seems not to be working properly. The lights for Pulse one and two flicker on and off and the pump on light is on, but when plugged into the stream pump, the pump stops working. When I unplug the controller, the pump turns on with no problem. Any idea why this is happening?

This problem could be either the driver or the single controller. Power down the unit and make sure the connection is firm and the driver power adjustment is at 100%. If you still have trouble I will need to check both or perhaps you have a firned with a pump and can verify which one is the problem your self.

Brewboy74,

Yeah, I finally found one. I had to wait about two weeks to get it though.

Rvitko,

I tried powering down the unit and with it on full blast. When the controller is hook-up to the pump the pump completely shuts down. Not sure where the problem is coming from. The pump works by itself, and the controller lights up when plugged in. The controller is giving all visual sign of it working properly, but the physical signs are not as obvious. Any trouble shooting suggestions let me know.

Thanks again.

2 weeks haha. I ordered mine the first week of April and I have it on good authority that I still have 2 weeks to wait. I think that will make it almost 8 weeks wait.

Yes, the foodtimer is broken. It may just be pushed down by the casing/wiggle the button or undo the screws and inspect it.

ok, I'll inspect it tonight and get back to you. Thanks. Question: Please explain how the foodtimer can and will affect the functionality of the unit?

Thanks again for your quick response and all your help.

Foodtimer stops the pump for 5-10min after you push it, if it is shorted or locked down the pump will never come on but the lights keep working.

Brewboy74, I promise I will get you a pump with my next shipment. I fill orders as they are recieved to the best of my ability but demand fluctuates, people cancel orders and these things happen.

No worries Roger. I understand, its a quality product and I am more than willing to wait for it. Its just tough to hear about people picking them up in a week or two. I don't mean to give you a hard time about it.

bb,
I ordered it via Champion through my LFS. In hind site I wish I had ordered through Premium Aquatics for I probably would have gotten it a bit sooner.

Roger,

Are you going to IMAC this year? If so I will have to stop in and say hi. If you are going to be there will you have that Wave box with you????? Gotta see it live.
