OK, I need help yet again to pick up a tank, I have sold the 240 4'x4' cube to get a used 240 8'x24"x25" tomorrow Monday, but I have no truck or trailer.

Does anyone have a truck or trailer and available? The tank is in Oviedo, near UFC, I will take care of the gas. And My buyer for the cube is minutes away from the tank I'm picking up.

If anyone is available, "please" let me know by tonight so we can make the arrangement. 352-346-5527

Ted, that would be awesome, now I just need someones help who has a vehicle with a hitch to haul it. Plus I could use that persons help to load/unload.

If anyone would be so kind and has the time tomorrow "please" let me know 352-346-5527 as I need to drop off the cube to my buyer, and pick up the one i just purchased, within minutes from each other.

If all else fails, you can rent a flat bed from home depot for 20 bucks. I just had to do that to get my bedroom furniture home. Sorry I can't be of assistance.

I would have to do their full day rental at $69 in order to save over renting it hourly.

So, is anyone available anytime 3pm, 4pm or later to go for a trip to Orlando?

Pretty please ;)

wow 166 views.....nada.....

I gotta say bud...it's not that no one wants to help you, I'll bet there are a bunch that would...but you're asking to do this on a Monday NIGHT. This is way more of a weekend day project. Whoever helps has to go to Spring Hill and pick up the cube, drive it to Orlando and drop it off, go to the other place to pick up your new tank, then drive that back to Spring Hill and then unload it and go home. You'll be lucky if you're done by 5a.m. and most potential helpers have to work tomorrow morning. I'm not trying to rain on your parade, but these moves of big tanks NEVER go as planned. (I'm telling you from experience - and you saw some of that yourself with the cube) You're talking about a loooooot of hours doing this. Again, I just don't think a Monday night is the time to do it. This might be why you can't find help. Not to mention you only posted this late yesterday afternoon...not much notice. Can you try putting it out until this weekend? Thay way people will have notice and you'll have all DAY to get all of this done.

Pete, not 5am as I am done work today really early today, around 2 or 3pm, this should take from start to finish 5 to 6hrs of hangin with me, so we could be done around 8 or 9pm.....don't scare my potential help :-)

And no one has to drive anywhere other than to my house bcus I'd be getting a truck so they would just go with me, since so far no one with a truck has offered, so looks like I may have to get a Home Depot Truck at 2 or 3pm.

I don't want to say much more regarding the lack of response as I don't want this thread to deviate from the original purpose, but so far the only people I can thank for "previous" help is you and Erick, but even the last time I needed help I got NO RESPONSE, but again, I don't even want to go there as it's not what I want to discuss here.

If I were giving something away for free or offering to pay for "help" I'm sure the response would have been great....I don't feel "help" should be "paid" for as I wouldn't expect to be paid to "help" for something that is a hobby, remember we spoke about that.

Right now I'm looking for help, if no one offers, then I know never to waste my time here again....but in anycase I pm'ed you as you were leaving this message to see if you might be available, check your PM and let me know.

Come on man, you're asking too much of people. Very little notice, long road trip, school night. A better plan would be to have the seller of your new tank line up some help on his end. I'm sure you'd have no trouble finding enough people to help you unload it on this end. It's not that nobody wants to help you, you're just asking too much. You're not asking for an hour out of somebody's night to help put foam under their tank. This is a serious endeavor. Well good luck at any rate.

I understand what your saying, yes this is at least a 6 to7 hour help, I know there's not much notice, but nonetheless there has not been any response of any sort, except for Ted who offered his trailer, and a couple of others that would have possibly helped under other circumstances.

Some response would have been nice. If someone needs my help, no matter how many hours, I'd offer to help, as long as its outside of my work hours and I don't have my kid with me, and I would not charge for my help, because its not help if your charging, its being "hired", of course if it's your vehicle we are utilizing I would cover the gas, and of course if we are hungry I'll treat you to the dollar menu, just kidding, Pete don't even say anything :uzi: :D

I know its not just me that has at one point or another made this observation, that unless it says FREE you may not see a response.

I'd help someone out and hope in the future I could count on them as well for help.

Unfortunately I don't have anyone locally who can help me load for that matter.

At any rate, I'm not at all impressed. Thanks to those that did "offer", that includes you imchris because I gather that under other circumstances you possibly would.

Like TR79 said. try to put off until this weekend or later in the week. If the person who wants your cube that bad he can wait & the person selling your tank can wait if he wants the $$$. Accept a deposit on your cube & pay a deposit on your new tank. Then Sunday do everything in the morning & i'm sure you will have tons of help. Good Luck!

I just went to Oviedo last Tuesday to pick up some corals. It only took an hour from Plant City I would love to help you but that would require calling into work lol and I only have a mini van although I have fit 180 tanks no problem but about a foot would be hanging out the back youd have to tie it down good.
