This might sound like a funny question. But I was wondering if anyone knew of anything that will eat Xenia? My 75 gal is OVER-RUN by xenia. We are about to upgrade to a 150 and i really dont want to move the xenia over.I have offered free frags of it before and not many seemed too interested. It is covering everything!!Does anyone have any suggestions?? Thanks in advance

If you want to eradicate xenia - pull it out, scrub it off, blast it with joe's juice and repeat everytime it starts to come back up.
Poor lighting, low flow, and low nutrient water will help retard its growth.
Anger and cussing apparently do little to stem the tide, for what its worth.

Joes Juice is just kalk paste if your trying to save money . I would turn off your pumps and wait for the xenia to start to pulse . Then apply the kalk paste . Let it sit on there over night and then it should be done in the morning . Then turn everything back on and do some heavy skimming .

a eye dropper works well to apply the paste if its good and runny .

Are there any local stores that would take/buy xenia?

I know on other club forums i read about how xenia is sold to stores for credit sometimes. Is there anywhere around here that would do that ?

Has anyone ever checked on this ?

no comment from anyone regarding selling to LFS?

I think there would be a great deal of people who frequent these stores that need an easy starter coral like xenia.

I have brought some to Aquatic treasures before.Velco was really cool about it.But I believe they are moving so I dont think he will take some right now.Store credit sounds good to me though:)

I have never been able to keep it thank god.

I had the opposite problem:rolleyes: But, Marine Solutions worked with me to give me store credits when there was a need for it and it benefitted me greatly. I think I flooded the Saint Louis market with that weed.
