Need ID (pics), idea?

Saw these little buggers in the tank a while ago and finally caught a few when I took one of the rock out (it crawled onto my hand). Any ideas what these are? They kinda remind me of freshwater bugs you see in rivers. Wanted to know if they were safe with my reef...

They look like amphipods to me. Which are fine.

They look like 'pods to me as well, though I can't say for sure with the one at the top left of the second pic. I'd put them back, they're great little detritus scavengers and make good between-meal snacks for fish

i used to kill them before i found out they were good on RC, like ACBlinky the one on top can't tell, try to post a different angle.

Thanks for everyone's help. They really, really look like amphipods, esp. these, Leucothoe commensalis. The one on the top left looks the same as the other one, just younger and smaller, he was stretched out swimming in the pic...
