These snails are reproducing like crazy.They seem to graze on algea.

the second is a cerith

The first pic is the same kind of snail,these don't get very big.The biggest one I have found is about 1/2'' long.I figure there is several hundreds of them.They mostly come out at night.

looks like a cerith to me
they can crash your tank if they all die so whenever you see that at night start picking them off the glass and take them out

They are ceriths. I wouldn't worry about the number, they will probably control themselves. I also wouldn't worry about a bunch of them dying at one time, since nothing short of a complete tank crash would cause that, and you'd have bigger problems than dying snails if that happened.
