Guys I am about to go bare bottom. I already have 2 Tunze in my tank. Needed something smaller and powerful to aim at my back bottom corner to keep junk from settling back there. Also I would like for it to be controlled on my controller. I just need one because I already have a korilia ph I can use for my other corner. What do you recommend?

I think a 6055 would do the trick if you already have something covering the other half. I am assuming it will be placed in the back bottom corner? They push water well about 3 feet or so.

Yes it will be in a back corner. What if I wanted to get one ph to cover the back of my aquarium totally that will be place near the bottom and won't blow a heavier grade of sand around?

Next step up is the 6105 which has a very wide rangle of flow speeds. with the 15v jumper max speed is 1849gph and with the 24v max is 3434gph

Both pumps can be angled upwards and it should be possible to install them without blowing sand around. You might also consider the Nano Wavebox as the wave action is very good at lifting and suspending detritus.

rvitko on a 6' long tank I would just need one wave box? I have always wondered how those work. Also if it is a nano wavebox is it large enough for my system?

Just looked this wave box up and I may go with it. So let's say I put it in my tank. Would I have it blowing the length of my tank and regardless of my aquascape it will generate movement and most of all keep my sand bed clean? I am going to go with a sand bed of about 1" or less because I initially wanted to go bare bottom.

The wavebox will create sand dunes the sand will have the wavy look it gets at the beach. I would suggest the Nano wavebox for a tank this size. Aquascaping can impact wave height but usually doesn't except in extreme cases with a full rock wall all the way around the tank. The Nano wavebox is for use with powerheads and not as a stand alone solution, you need directional flow as well in most cases.

Right! So I will use my existing Tunze set up + the wave maker.
I will get the wm but why would you recommend this over another ph?

A powerhead only gets flow where you target it, a wave gets flow to every crevice, it may not be as strong a flow but if you can get things lifted into the water column, your powerheads can take it from there.
