Need pump advice please!

I have a 250gal display with a 50gal sump. When I set it up I put on a jebao 12000 but the water flow was way to slow so I split it and put 2 but yesterday one of the pumps gave out so I was going to buy another one but was trying to buy a large enough submersible pump(one) to support the system so I don't have to have 2. I know they make a 15000 but I don't think that is going to make enough of a difference to just have one. Anyone know of one?

Really depends how much your looking to spend. Ecotech L1 is a nice pump but only rated for 3100. There is Red Dragon pumps but price is high same as Abyzz but you get what you pay for.

If your going with a DC pump get something alittle stronger you can dial back. Im getting a Red Dragon 3 Speedy 230 and plan to run it at 75%

I run the RD3 230 on my return. My display is 480g with about 650 gallon total volume. The return feeds my 2 reactors and my display refugium. I run it at 150 watts (about 65%) which at that speed produces about the same flow as my Superdart Gold that the RD3 replaced. The RD3 puts out about 5200GPH at a 6' head. I run 2" plumbing up to my display and slit that into a pair of 1" Seaswirls.

You will need to come out of the pump with much larger diameter and have the large pipe feed each of the 3/4" inlets to your tank. Otherwise, the friction losses will reduce the flow from the pump substantially. The pump has a 1.5" outlet and I would suggest no smaller than 1.5" up to the tank so you have 1.5" feeding each of the 3/4" lines.

^^^ I really like the RD3 230 i have 4 I'm putting on my 1200 two for closed loop and two for returns. stupid quiet pump a little pricey at 1300 but well worth it.

Yes they are. They are designed to be used both internally or externally. Mine are external but I know many people running them internally.
