You are all too nice, it will never fix it. I think a few guys need to walk over, knock on the door and tell them that if they ever hear that child being hit like that again, they'll beat them to a pulp. Then finish by reminding them that if they call to press charges for assault, they'll get a beating from someone else as well as go to jail for child abuse. Then if the cops do question the anyone in the goon squad, just ask them who they believe, a child abuser or them.

I don't know anyone like that :D

Chelsey,

Do you have any updates on what is going on with your situation here?

No new updates. I have not heard the kid screaming nor have I heard her screaming today, her car is gone, so I'm assuming after last night's fight she left (which she frequently does). I'm going to call my landlord so that he has record of it when I end my lease early.

I'm not worried for my safety at the moment, they haven't threatened me or anything; their constant bickering when I'm trying to study for exams is just annoying. I might be worried if I go talk to them and she goes nuts though ;)

IMHO, you might want to consider letting your landlord know of the ongoing situation. They might become proactive, or ignore it, either way you have built a case for your way out of the lease. You can tell your landlord you do not want to be mentioned when/if he talks to them.

You could also consider a small audio recorder and turn it on whenever things get ugly. This could help you A) get out of your lease B) help protect the child.

After covering those bases, I would simply call the police during the next big bout.
