Need some help with mp40 assembly

I got an mp40 from a fellow reefer but it needed the washer on the wet side so I got the whole maintenance kit. I can not find any directions but I did find the order that it goes back together but what I need to know is if the nut is supposed to be tight against the impeller?

hand tight is fine

I would go hand tight and then maybe half a turn with some pliers. You want it tight enough not to slip and not so tight that you strip the nut.
