Need some info on plumbing a sump.

Hello,

Before i order parts i would like to get some feedback to see if this is what i need. I don't want to start buying stuff and not have it work out. well here goes. I have a CPR CS50 for the intake to the sump and a Mag 5 for the return pump.

I am planning on ordering these items to plumb the sump to the tank. what do you think??

and also plastic clamps.... do i have it right??? or am i missing something and/or are my measurements off. LAst thing i want to do is have a flood or leak... Nor do i want to bother you anymore than i have to with returns and whatnot that are my fault for jumping the gun and buying before asking.

any help would be great... also i was looking into the Flow accelerator, just not sure what size and if it would work with my setup.

Hi Joe,

Thanks for your post, a few things I noticed you have a mag drive pump, the inlet and outlet for the mag drive 5 is 1/2 inch so the 3/4 fittings you have will all have to be 1/2 inch, unless your using it for something else.

Item Code: FT1334- You would not need this tubing, it is the incorrect size for your return


Joe if your using the 3/4 inch parts you listed for the overflow box, then yes it would be correct, you'll only need hose clamps for the appropriate sizes of tubing and fittings. Found here..http://www.marinedepot.com/ps_Aquar...ttings_hose_clamps_flexible_vinyl_tubing.html
