Need some rock!

Hey folks,

After a month of wasting time trying to figure out what to do with the Pico-C that I bought from Adam, I finally took it back.

Off topic: Kudos to Adam for returning it after 35 days without question, and making an exception for me, as he typically does not take tanks back.

So, that being said, I went and plunked down the coin on a 12g Aquapod. Right now it's running with a sandbed and that's it.

I need rock, people! I'm looking for 15-20 pounds of good lively stuff (minus aiptasia, hair algae, bubble algae, blah blah blah).

Anyone got any that we could work something out on? I'd prefer smaller pieces, so if anyone had some rubble in a sump somewhere or something like that, I'd probably be able to make that work.

Also, I've got the line on a bunch of rock that may or may not be live. It's been out of a tank, sitting in a barrel of saltwater, essentially sealed up without water motion or turnover. I can't remember what the term was, but I think it was something like "nuking", and it was something that there have been several threads on this site about.

Anyone able to lend any credence to this? It's probably 50-75 lbs. worth of rock and if there's a chance that it won't totally mess up the system, I'd consider it.

Otherwise, those of you with some good live rock, please let me know via email or PM.

Thanks!

BTW...moonlights look absolutely wild on a tank!

Once I get some rock in the tank, perhaps an inhabitant or two, I'll take some pictures and post up. This AquaPod is a pretty nice little setup, judging by what I've seen so far.

The term could be "cooking" although people call things by all sorts of names. Cooking rock is the process of riding the rock of most of the living stuff on it. IE bubble algea and hair algea that sorta thing. I'm going to be doing this pretty soon myself. If this person is selling some of that rock I would be interested in some of it so that I could cook my exsisting batch and then replace it when it's done.
Let me know if that person is selling some...

"This is my BOOMSTICK"~~~Bruce Campbell

I love that movie. Every now and then I will pipe off "Give me some sugar baby" to people. The ones that have seen the movie laugh. The ones that have not seen the movie think I am a jerk. ;-)

Of course there are those people who have seen the movie and still think I am a jerk.....

I have your rock Ryan. I had to pull out a couple nice pieces from my tank tonight to fit my new rock in (yeah, a 55 pound arch rock ... I now have a hernia after trying to 'gently' get it in my tank). This hobby kills me.

It's yours for free provided when you come over you don't make fun of the tank and hurt it's feelings as it's pretty bare.

Unless you come over this weekend in which case I have a very large shipment coming Friday and it won't be AS bad I suppose.

The live rock is in a bucket of salt water with a powerhead. It's clean as a whistle. No aptaisia, bubble algae, hair algae, etc. There are two very nice sized pieces that could be broken up if need be.

Let me know....

My girlfriend hates that movie with a passion, but I love it, and I spot off lines from it almost every hour on the hour, people just don't get it. You gotta see the first two to really understand why he is such an A-Hole in that one.

Yeah so if anybody else has any LR for cheap or moderate prices let me know, I need some so that I may cook my current batch of rock!

^^you better be 16. Army of Darkness is a great flick full of one liners! it is a must watch!
