I prefer acrylic but I am open.

Thanks for your support!!

PS - I will be selling my 120G setup as soon as I get the 180 up and running. I intend to do a seperate post but pictures are in my gallery if anyone is interested.

I have a new sump as sold by Jeff's for $229.95. I comes with a filter sock and measures 36x13x16inches tall. I will sell it for $200.00 in Irvine

There is American Plastic store in Camarillo that will cut the acrylic for you and all you have to do is cement it together. I build about 4 so far. I used 1/4 in. acrylic and built a side sump version so there is 5 chambers a refuge/skimmer/propagation area/out and a top off section. It cost me about $120 for the cement and acrylic. about 2 hours to put together. next day water test and then installed. works great. When running it holds 25 gal.
The only thing is you have to go in fill out a sheet of paper to the sizes you want, put a deposit. Then about 2 days you can pick everything up and go to work. the # is 805-484-3333
If anyone needs some tips I have done 4 now and have it down pretty good.

Thanks for the replies guys!

The dimensions of my 55G takes up too much space length wise in the stand (have chiller and two pumps etc etc that I want all to fit underneath).

Westin,

Thanks for the acrylic tip. I may do that in the future. Currentyl I am pressed for time as I need to have everything up and running by July 8th and I am building the stand and canopy between now and then ;)

Anyone else out there have an old tank they want to get rid of?

Thanks!
