Need the brilliant minds to speak up - Majano issues...

I have a bunch of majano that I can't get to with the traditional syringe method. I can't reach many of the spots they are growing. I typically use a hot kalc paste mix, Joe's Juice, etc..

Anyone know of a NATURAL way to get rid of these? I tried peppermint shrimp (I think they were eaten) and have heard raccoon butterfly's work (but I also read they are not reef safe).

and be aware of the threat any pygmy Angelfish poses to a reef aquarium. Do you have any Tridacna clams?

double saddleback butterflies have worked well for me, but if they get hungry, they will nibble on other zooanthids, but from what I've seen is they really enjoy manjanos. If they are well fed after getting most manjanos, it will decrease their desire to nibble on other things.
Racoons will also target them as well.

I believe (and I'm hoping) Joe is referring to Chaetodon ulietensis and not C. ephippium
I've been researching ulietensis for years and would appreciate anything Joe has to say about them- Charles Delbeek has used that species at the aquarium in Waikiki to control nuisances in SPS dominated systems.

Centropyge bicolor has been known to go after clams (that's why I asked about them) but what they appear to relish (in most cases) is Majano spp. anemones.

Raccoon Butterflies usually end up eating everything. Ephippium has the same potential. You don't want the cure to be worse than than problem.
