WE HAVE EGGS.....again. busy busy busy....lol. Seems like the largest batch so far. Going to watch this batch like a hawk.

officially...all my phyto is clear. Rotifers are hungry little things....ditching the coke bottles...starting over.

What happened with the phyto? Did rotifers contaminate it? You could buy either DTs or some other phyto to feed. Or you could buy concentrated algae (like instant algae from Reed) to feed. Using Instant Algae means you don't have to culture phyto. I could be wrong, but I don't think any of the stores around here carry Instant Algae though.

your clowns hatch last night? Mine should be hatching tonight. Half of them got silver eyes yesterday.

three nights ago, actually....but i missed the window.

i'm not worried...my clownfish are going at it like hamsters.....i'm sure there'll be more eggs within the next 72 hours. :smokin:

excellent. I did the exact opposite. I pulled out the pot a day early and most of them got fungus and died. Ohh well. Maybe we'll both get the next batch right.

My Black Ocellaris laid eggs on September 11th, at 6:50PM. They last laid on Aug. 15th 6:46PM That clutch hatched late on August 24th. They've been going 9 days before hatching.

Your clowns are hatching faster.

What is the temperature of your water? I've found the eggs definitely hatch faster in warmer water. The broodstock like the warmer water too I think.

76 or 77 degrees F, I think. I haven't checking in a while.

That is definitely why they are taking an extra day. I shoot for 80-82 generally.
