Neomeris annulata?

It's not. It's a slow grower and slow propagator. It is a calcareous type of algae so it's better to remove it but it won't become a problem.

I have some of this growing in my fuge and a couple of small pieces in my tank. Any thoughts on whether its a problem. I know it consumes some calcium but it doesn't appear to be moving my numbers. Looks very cool.

Hey Stoli..
That is pretty cool. I have no experience with it so can't help you much but just don't let this happen! :fun2:

Ouch. Maybe I should start plucking it out of the fuge. There are only one or two stalks in the display but that picture gave me the willies.

Funny thing is that it appeared out of nowhere. Hadn't added anything to the tank in months.

i think they look cool. i saw them once in a fish shop in thailand. but i couldn't find them anymore. it'd be nice to grow them in fuge.

This is so so wrong. In my case, I can not get rid of it. It started as one and is now hundreds. Manual removal is only a temporary fix. I have lost the fight.

Interestingly, it's still in my fuge and just kind of hanging out. Doesn't spread and not in my display.
