Neon toad frags itself.

I've had others say they've had this problem. Anyone know why they do this, and is it a certain type only? (vs. common toadstools or even a "tyree" version of the neon)

I have a really nice one that once it reaches a certain size, drops it's edges and kinda frags itself. I'd like it to grow into a big neon green leather.

Mine has been doing that, it has already dropped 2 frags on its own and now another larger piece is about to go. How big is yours?

The base is, and I'm guessing here, about 6"-7" around. (not across)

I moved it to a an area with less flow, I'm going to experiment a little. But, whenever the cap gets a little bigger, it drops off the edges.

Will post pics this weekend.

Mine has also dropped a frag, and seems to have a second one forming. However, mine does still seem to be growing. I think it's about 8 or 10 inches across now.

The first frag was maybe 1/2 inch or so across.

Mine is the ORA version (bought from LiveAquaria).

Oh, I just realized I have a pic with the frag forming. If you look at this pic, in the center, near the top of the coral, is a section where the polyps aren't out and are smaller. I'm also wondering if it may be due to warmer summer temperatures.
