Well, left for a few days to go take care of my Dad, and came back to a stressed tank. PH dipped to 7.8, and the acropora receded really far back. Daily monitoring of PH and Calcium has brought back. Fighting purple cyano as well. So spend last night to 3am, installing the new sump that would fit reef octopus (was using an underated one as a temporary solution). That made a big difference.
Next on the agenda is to install the BRS doser.
 
Always something. Things should settle down once you get the equipment sized right and automated systems set up. Keep after it.

Yeah. It's growing fast. At least 1/4" a month on each branch. Other corals are not growing as fast, but I think they are filling out the base first. The blasto has over 10 heads on it. Every night the candy cane and brain corals extend their tentacles ready to grab stuff.

yes. It was one of my favorites. It was so curious and fearless. I would put food into the little plastic medicine cups and it would just pick the food right out.
