Neptune Apex Junk

Yep. Another +1 to apex working without issue since day one on all Macintosh products I've owned (Mac Pro desktop, iMac, iPad, and iPhone). Only problems I had were my own misunderstandings about how setup and installation works. It's possible you just flat out had a lemon with one faulty component in it

Problem is the MAC and not the Apex. Works flawlessly through a Windows PC.

So my Mac that I've never had a virus on, no virus programs, never a blue screen, never freezes, software updates in the background without me having to do anything, software updates over WIFI, and new programs are two clicks to install is the problem?

Yep I'm sure that was the case. It happens. Funny it just always happens to me. The last 5 things I bought for my tank were bad or not working correctly. At this point I had enough. Everything is working fine now. Now to just hope Neptune gives me my $150 deposit back. Fingers crossed.

Works fantastic on all of my MAC's. Log into Fusion and the classic dashboard from work all the time. Both also work great on my iPhone and both iPads.

FWIW, I have never been able to get the Apex app to work properly on my iPad despite troubleshooting with Neptune. Maybe it's some idiosyncrasy with my home network, dunno. With Fusion, it became unnecessary though.

The iPad doesn't do local network addresses very good. Do you have an external Internet address for your unit? If so try that on the iPad.

Can you connect to it using the apex IP address?

That's what I have tried but the app is not responsive, keep getting 'timed out' messages. No biggie, because I'm using fusion now anyhow and that works just fine.

Get an app on your phone called Fing. It lets you know the IP address of every device on your network.

Forgot how to get into my Apex when I got my DOS unit so used Fing and within minutes I was logged in.

If you are talking about the actual Apex App from the App Store, what I do is use my DynDns address to access my Apex via the Apex App. That works great whether I am home or away. If you are talking about connecting via the web browser to the build in web interface (not fusion), it could be your port number. If you are using the default port 80, some routers block that port and in some cases, other network devices may be using it and causing a conflict. I ran into that issue once with my Apex and had to change the port number to get it working again via the browser.

i had issues with my ipad not working well with my apex when i had the apex useing a wireless game adapter. once i ditched that and got a powerline adapter soits like having the apex right to the router, ive never had a problem sense.
