Depending on how soon this would happen and where they are being shipped I am interested.

ditto here

I was thinking May 5th. Shipping could go to the person closest to everyone else. That person would also have to be willing to repackage and ship out the last few to those too far away. I am open to suggestions so let me know what you thinkââ"šÂ¬Ã‚¦

I may have to pass on it this soon, the Williamsport frag meet is that weekend and my $$$ is tied up on frags. If we can wait until say 19th I'm in.

Neat... I think that place is cheaper.
PA Neptune is 165 base + 75 for DC8 = 240
Reef Stop is base + DC8 = 224.

I'm interested.

Wait time

Wait time

I ordered one from Premium, there was no wait time, I ordered 4/20 and it's on it's way to me, so they have already recieved the minimum number of orders. I paid $164.90 for Jr. +$30 for serial port+ $75 for DC8 for a total of $264.90. Dave

Reef Stop

Reef Stop

Looks like the Reef Stop would be a better buy. $224 for Jr. + DC8 and $28 for serial port for a total of $252, would have saved $13. How do you guys find out about these group buys? I was looking at these the night before this post started and when I read it I jumped at it and ordered it, looks like it would have paid to be patient for at least another day. I wonder what Reef Stop's shipping charges are, UPS ground for mine was $8.19. Well either way I'm getting a really cool piece of equipment, now I just need to find a good price on a laptop..................

I love mine - the reefstop orders the jr's for the group buy after they have 8 orders - so you get put on a list and when he has 8 orders its go time - I was number 4 on the list when I ordered and it took maybe 4 days of waiting before the list was full and the items were ordered.

Just fyi.

Ok I called up both premium aquatics and the reef stop. Here is the way these things workââ"šÂ¬Ã‚¦

Each person logs on to the site and orders the controller with whatever options they want. They do not have to be in the same club or order the same options. They will just take any random people from reef central and once they get 8 orders they will ship them. The shipping is sent to each person individually once the magic number of 8 is reached. The only catch is that you may have a one or two day wait time until they ship. In that case itââ"šÂ¬Ã¢"žÂ¢s each man/woman for themselves! Order when you are ready because they claim this deal wonââ"šÂ¬Ã¢"žÂ¢t last foreverââ"šÂ¬Ã‚¦

I'm just wondering -- what are the limits of the AC Jr. vs the aquacontrollerIII ? I'm not that familiar with it. .. thanks

Best answer for that is to go to their website and click on 1 of the controllers and then click on comparison, that'll line all of their controllers up and show a head to head comparison of their features. Neptune is a Reefcentral sponsor. In a nut shell the ACIII comes with the serial port ( extra $30 on the AC Jr.) and ports for ORP probe, 2nd Ph probe and alot of web server functions etc.. It really seems like a good deal to go for the Jr., they even give you free software so you can log data and perform most functions on your computer ( as long as you get the serial port to connect to your computer ) with Aquanotes Lite, to do any of that on the ACIII it looks like you have to spend $79.95 to get their regular Aquanotes. I would definately recommend spending the $30 and getting the serial port if only for the resale value. Here's the comparison link :
