If you go to www.tunze.com you can see our new inventions. Some highlights I will detail below.

6200 Stream 5200gph 2.5" outlet.

New Driver for all Electronic pumps with fishcare function- driver spins once every minute to scare fish away during foodtimer or tide mode. Not quite finished but should be available after some more test runs.

New Multicontroller 7095 with integrated lunar cycle moonlight and soft touch keypad with power display- Not available until late fall

Power Magnet 220.58- the strongest algae magnet in the world for 3.2" glass.

New inexpensive return pump and ultra silent overflow box

Magnet Holder for all Tunze products- they really look sharp and use a high powered water proofed magnet and a special micro suction rubber to attach firmly.

Riverpack freshwater filter

CO2 diffuser- completely my invention

New medias for nitrate, phosphate, silicate removal

New high powered skimmer for in sump or in tank, in black plastic as will all Comline components be by next year.

The Ultimate new toy- Wavebox. We just upped the ante in flow again. This is really an unbelievable, fool proof and reliable surge device with a flow quality you have to see to believe. I have one being sent for IMAC.

It is 1:15AM and I have a lot of work to do tomorrow so I am signing off.

BTW- Dealer addresses for USA \will be updated on Monday.

ok, call me clueless, but where are these things hiding??? i checked all over the US site and couldn't find any one of them. i'm really interested in the stream magnets, and the 6200. please clue me in.
thanks
Doug

So Roger,
wavebox=bubbless interal surge system???
where do I sign up? I NEED one.
chuck

Yes, the magnet is priced out of reach for a reason, a zoo or professional will get a discount, some guy who just ones to claim he has the biggest magnet which came packed in a 12by 12 lead lined maple ply box is going to a) lose a finger and b) kill his grandfather when his pacemaker gets wiped out. It is borderline on being classified as a weapon.

The wavebox may be available sooner, a couple pieces need to be finished. I will update as details are available. It integrates with the multicontroller and streams.

Oooh, magnet holders for the streams! How long till these are available? This will be perfect for my tank!

Fairly soon, the molds need some modifications and we need to work out the warnings as we learned yesterday that if you put the two halves together on the big one you are up the creek. It was a bad idea to test that!

hi Roger...

i was wondering if you can give me some more info on the wave box, particularly their positioning in the reef. from what i can discern, i'm guessing that they need to be placed so the current flows across the reef, not front to back. i'm asking because i would really like to get a pair, but with 3 viewing sides on my reef, i only like to put mechanicals on the back wall. can these units function effectively if they're mounted in the rear corners? also, will i need to get a different controller for my 3 6100 streams if i add the wave boxes, or does it really not matter that much?

thanks
Doug

wavebox...I really, really think I need one of those....my question Roger is this: If you placed a wave box on one end of your tank, and an extension on the other side, can you get them to work synchronously? I guess it theoretically doesn't matter which "end" of the tank you mount it on as the "wave" should travel the length of the tank right?

Just my luck , I get my streams in and now they are coming out with a new multi controller that has added features on it .

It would be nice if they made a retrofit...or and upgrade to the multi-controllers to get the new funtion on tide mode .. It would be worth it to be able to use tide mode without fear of damageing the streams , or animals.....HINT...HINT .

vapor1- fishcare is in the driver, you would need the new drivers so an upgrade will be possible at some future time. We need some more tests before anything is ready.

The wavebox connects its controller to the multicontroller and they sync up automatically for night mode and the like. The extension is a slave wavebox that works synchronously with the main unit. Only one should be required on all but the biggest aquariums. It is basically a big Stream in a two liter box with a fancy contoller that is being pulsed very rapidly. The box empties and fills and the effect is the same as if you were to jump up and down in a swimming pool. Due to the application of resonance your small mass can cause large waves in a large pool if you time your movements just right. The effect is just like in the ocean, corals and algae rock back and forth, detritus lifts and hovers, sand dunes form and the surface rolls across the aquarium in waves.

Roger,

I just purchased two stream 6000s and was going to purchase the multicontroller next month. Do you think the new 7095 multicontroller is worth the wait or should I just get the 7094?

Thanks,
Chad

will the wavebox be available minus the stream, And can a 6100 drive it?

Ask as I have 5 streams and could use one for a wave box save a few quid??

Also can the new venturi be used on the origina 240 skimmers??

And why not make the fish guard function part of the mullti controler? This would allow all stream user to get the benefit without havign to upgrade the electronics box?

AND another thing :)

the 9000 skimmer has " priciple of open water circulation" so its no longer a closed loop on the skimmer and we are running it as a normal suck the water in skim it spit it out set up??.

And when will Tunze build a miny enducter for the air intake, it would seem this may be simple and increase the air input considerably.

yettihead- This is up to you, just bear in mind it could be November before you get one if you decide to wait.

blgreef- the electronics necessary for the wavebox and the fishguard are part of a driver upgrade that was necessary to make the 6200 possible. It just isn't possible to add it to the multicontroller. You could feasibly convert a Stream to a wavebox but I don't think it is cost effective as you would only save the motorblock and the transformer and there are a lot of differences.

Yes, the skimmer concept is open circuit, non plankton safe. We will offer the centrifugal models still for the advanced hobbyist who can use and understand the closed loop. Unfortunately it was a significant marketing disadvantage when the average hobbyist just wants the most foul cup of poo on the block. This skimmer design beats everything else in the price range hands down and can run in a sump or in tank. It is really a neat design especially with the black plastic and blue decals and venturi screw.

The new venturi we have is really advanced and it makes such a small bubble a needle wheel and eductor are only marginally better. Further we tried it and the small body size could not handle the increase in air intake which was about 25% over the venturi. We wanted to keep the most compact size of any skimmer while doubling the performance. Granted, our research is never through and we are continuing to improve the skimmers even now so in the future it may well use a different technique. You can add the venturi to your 240- off the top of my head it is part 3130.160- confirm this before you order as it might be .360. The problem will be a smaller bubble and greater air volume will mean free bubbles leaving the skimmer on this model.

Thanks Roger ,

Have a spare skimmer pump so will upgrade the 240 and maybe even the spare and stick it on the H&S skimmer the skimmer euro reef based their unit on.
