We added a couple of acro crabs to our 45g tank because we like them and our LFS give them to us for free. We added three and 2 disappeared quickly and we had one that was hanging out in an acro mini colony so we considered it a win. So this weekend my wife is looking at the tank and what does she see but our mandarin picking up an acro crab and slamming it against the glass. After she cracked it open she proceeded to eat it. Are you serious?????

Oh my gosh I'm laughing so hard I worked myself into a coughing fit. Sorry about your crab, but that's the funniest thing I've ever heard. If only there were a video.

When she told me I laughed as well, my wife was not so pleased. Both of our mandarins eat frozen and are spawning, so it is not like they are starving.

Sounds like theirs a new treat in your tank for your mandarins! Thats pretty crazy so much for being a picky eater. He sounds like a real killing machine.:smokin:
