Im planning on a 215 by Oceanic (72x24x30) for SPS. I was thinking the following equipment for it. I am limited by space under the stand (only 30" tall) so the skimmer choices are limited.
Lighting - Coralife Aqualight Pro 3x250W HQI 4x 96W PC
Ca Reactor - Aqua C RX-1 via Eheim 1250
Skimmer - AquaC EV240 via Mag 18
Return (Split among the 2 overflows) - ReeFlo Snapper
I am assuming at the 30" depth and SPS 250W is the minimum. Any special considerations with HQI, ive only dealth with single end bulbs in the past. I will be perform weekly water changes of 35 gallons, I am assuming the 240EV should keep up. I have an EV 180 on my 75gallon now and I like the performance. The EV400 will not fit under oceanics stands.
