new 300 dd build

Ok here we go
the 300 dd was ordered saturday haveing marienland drill some custom holes in the tank

each overflow box will have a 1.5' return and 2.0' drain
bottom will have a 2.0' drian for closed loop and have (4) 1.0' return for the closed loop.

Equipment list
2 400wt mh
12 1wt cree led moon lights
have not deceided on the atinics
hamerhead pump return pump
dart pump for closed loop
coral life 250 skimmer for now

100.00-180.00 gallon sump
thinking about a 150 gallon rubbermaid vat for extra rock
40.00-60.00 fuge
40.00 gallon frag tank for now

100 gallon a day rodi system
bfs carbon,gfo and boi pellets

self built stand and hood (diy)

not sure yet might open the teeth up on the over flow i am not going to use all of the pump for return will have a manifold but not sure yet

The overflows on the DD tanks stink. You can't move much water through them, without the water level inside the tank going up, and touching the center braces. If you're planing to move more water through them than the original stand pipes would handle, you're gonna have to do something with the over flows too. I'm thinking of drilling more holes on the sides of the slots on my DD tank.

Just got word that the tank will be hear in three weeks lots to do but some progress pick up a 125 gallon tank for my sump have to get 150 rm st for extra water volume (extra rock storage) will update the stand and sump placement tonight

the new sump i picked up this weekend on (cl)
sump stand started will finish this week
ro system up and running again
and 10 more gallons of live rock that went with the tank

yes will be building a canopy cant decide how to finish the stand so still thinking of how to finish the canopy :headwalls:

Thanks I will do that, I'm in the process of redoing my tank room need to make it bigger and drying out from the big rain we just had. Sump pump quit :headwally:

ok this is th worst part we are in week number 3 of a 4-6 week wait on the tank painted the in side of the stand white (the kids did) but did get some of the new equipment
