I got a pbt from divers den and he is not interested in any of the food I have tried.

Rn mysis
Hikari mysis
Form1 flake and pellet
Clam

He picks at the rocks all day and will eat red nori tied to a rock but seems not interested in anything and somewhat shy when feeding the other fish.

Amm and nitrite are zero
Nitrates are 1-5
Salinity 1.025
All and calc are all on point
Ph is 8.2

Tank is a 300dd
he has been in it for two weeks.
Any thoughts?

Ain't surprised to be honest. My PBT, which is now about 5", ate nothing for three weeks, was thin as a rail and then, bang, started eating. He's been in the tank 4 years now and is very fat. If yours is picking at nori and the rocks, I would not worry. Meaty items are not Acanthurus' main diet items, so give it time. If it is NOT hitting the rocks and the nori, then I'd worry. Great fish to have. Enjoy.

I would also rubberband other nori (green) to the rocks. You could also try Omega One veggie flakes. Sometimes it takes fish a lot of time to adapt to eating from the water column.

You can soak foods in garlic extract as that tends to stimulate feeding in many fish.

Also, do you see any signs of flukes?

Sometimes it's not that the fish only wants to eat nori, its that he doesnt want to eat from the water column. Try feeding meat based foods but in a way he can pick at them like he does nori. You can hang a raw cocktail shrimp from the nori clip, or rubberband it to a rock. Also try clams on the half shell or frozen mysis chunks rubberbanded to rocks.

Give it some time took my Flame angel 2 weeks and my potters 4 weeks before it would eat anything. Just keep trying different kinds of foods my potters ended up eating home made food to start and now will eat anything.
