is there a formula or general rule as to calculating how much water an overflow can handle? I need to know that before I buy return pump.

thanks

If you go to the main page of Reef Central and check the menu along the left side you will see a section called Calculators. There is a calculator there for Drain/Overflow Size.

Its time for updates and continue my tank build. My wife give me deadline to March 2014 to finish my tank. So lets finish my nano-tank:)
First my sump-room, painted last year and waiting for my lazy a.. to put together all equipment.

I run electric lines from my sump-room in the basement to canopy, and fan with humidity sensor will be installed there as well.
