New 75 Gallon Build

Good morning friends,
I am in the beginning stages of putting together a new 75, I have the tank, Stand and 30 gallon I am using for the fuge.

A few question I have, I am going to drill the tank, Two holes for outflow, And inflow. From what i have read I should be moving between 900 and 1200 gph, If those numbers are correct what size holes should I drill? The skimmer box/overflow kit I am looking at comes with a 1" drill, Is that adequate or should I look for larger. And I am assuming 1" inflow should be adequate.

Next, Should I install a protein skimmer at system start or after I have be running for a while?

And lastly can you guys give me an idea of what you all put in your fuge? I know I need to have live rock, and Chaeto. Anything else to keep the tank clean?

I am still undecided as to what I want in the tank, But I know I want to keep so corals, as for fish not sure what I am going to have.

Thanks for any input provided.

Are you building an overflow box or two? Just my opinion, but for your size tank I would suggest only one and one set of holes. I wish I only had one on my 120. What size return pump, 1 or 2 pumps, and where is the sump located? basement or directly under? Return pump size is what will help determine the size return, but 1 inch should be plenty.
Are you adding baffles to your sump and a fuge compartment? Will it be lit? I don't have a fuge, but the only thing in my sump is some live rock, skimmer, filter media and return pumps.

Not sure how many you have seen, but I would advise checking out some local setups to get ideas and a feel for what you need. I'm sure you'll get some volunteers. Also check out some of the past build threads.
