New 9012 skimmer stops working

Hi Roger, i went to LFS today with 9012 skimmer. They opened up and found impeller broken like the picture i posted in Jan this year for previous skimmer. Given the symptom is exactly the same i bet my last 9012 skimmer stopped running is due to impeller broken as well. It seems like this impeller you use only past 3 to 4 months and will break. LFS is kind enough to order replacement for me but i must say this impeller problem you have is causing your customers a great deal of inconvenience not something i expect from a company like Tunze .

Unfortunately, these issues sometimes happen when products are new, we sincerely make every effort to test our designs thoroughly but issues happen when transitioning from a few test models and mass production. We are redesigning the needle wheel to be more robust, for now all we can do is replace them, a new version will be out in a few months.

When new impeller is out do we have to pay for it or it is covered under warranty even if it is over 12 months by the time new impeller is available?

The warranty is 2 years from the time of purchase, if your replacement fails within the remainder of your warranty, it will be replaced and the next replacement will likely be the new design.

Thats good i thought warranty is one year.
