New Acrylic aquarium - I'm back after 30 y.

Yes we both agree top will be completely closed and i lower for 2 cm.
Seams that level will not be so low as 75 cm from top - few cm will be ok.
Regarding the magnet thanks. 90 Eur is robbery.
As pump will be exactly under the overflow box was thinked also to put magnet inside owerdlow box at bottom facing down but from experience of some people magnet plastic box is not glued well and can rust by time.

Not planned to be inside water.
Or by side left right and will be not so visible as if you see position of tank overflow coming on left side near the wall that will be fixed soon by concrete.

Thanks guys for support. Nice regards to US from Europe. Long live Marine King ;)

Regarding the direct sun on aquarium only after 14.00 o clock as its east side heat bcs good windows will be minimised. AC room and dehumidifier and window opened on Kip |/ for fresh air...
Its time today to finishing wall concrete around...

Continue...

The direct sun potentially could cause/increase algae issues depending on the nutrient levels in the tank. Since you said heat will not be an issue, I wouldn't be too concerned with it. There was a trend several years back where people were using solar tubes to bring natural sunlight to their aquariums.

ok thanks. I had one smaller aquarium near window and not have any boom of algae as filtration and parameters was quite good and only zebrasoma love it to chop hours. I think bcs of special glass and stop sol that this will be not an issue. lets see. as im not planned to have hard corals mostly fish anemone ect if someting grow we will take care. Direct sunlight will be lowered by this 3ple glas and layers of glasure metalic stopsol as well...tried to find more about and for now its seams that glass will stop most UV (not all for sure) but many.

My second question as in 1995 i had trickle filter over bio balls I know its out of use they said nitrate factory but I didnt have any issue just regular cleaning of top sponge I get one acrylic pipe and I filled with bio balls see photo...
but will do slow flow over - did I do one vent pipe rising that gases goes out on top? Or close all? In filtration system will be also separete deep sand part few inches... or to use this pipe for sand...not bio balls half in water half air trickling water from top? What is better to use this acrylic pipe? I can place on top bulkheads ect...no issue.

As you can spot on first my post I installed to friend aquarium where existing pumps didnt created any strong flow through corals
penductors / eductors however you call them and flow was incredible mixing water through all corals and in few weeks he told me
that on simple exit before that he had he put finger and can stop flow...now 4-5 times stronger and sucking also water behind penductor
totaly without any additional pump. I ordered this in 2005 from US shop for him and me and another friend and everyone was
so happy. In 2005 there was only bad quality Tunze small pumps for flow and many problems with axles ect. I never purchased
but forum local friends complaining constantly.

For larger aquarium this is very good simple improvement on return pipes. Soon will be covered by algae ect and not visible.
There is also small eductors but colour I hate. :)

Nylon bolts ( this is 2 centimeter from bottom ) and nuts and even washers from electrical cabinets touching acrylic protection is ready
for modification of overflow. Will cut them a little but first will measure 3 x times
And from old laser printer demolished perfect guide paper plastic exact dimension and even 4 different holes
for 2 level regulation. Lets do it. :)

Finaly found some videos and photos that I recorded on my first marine tank in Italy 1995...
its just screenshoot from TV playing Sony Hi8 video cassette player as in this years this was
the only one possible way of recording. Sorry for bad quality but you can spot begginer mistakes
as water was not RO but purchased drinking one...trickle filtration, the best ever Iwaki pumps
purchased in Hong Kong 1997, ASkoll Tronic pumps also very good strong and even today
after 30 y. I taken 2 of them now named Askoll...
Anyway enjoy to see the first marine one when in Italy existed maybe just few shops for
marine fishes...imported from UK or from German shops and Indonesian air boxes to
Frankfurt airport runing by time to Italy to save fishes with courier friend.

Aquarium was factory Sera.

Now immagine purchasing drinking water with low minerals LOL mixing with salt...
😇 begginers mistakes lot of green algae and in 1 year aquarium start growing incredible
after I placed MH ARcadia 150 W together with 2 neon blue marine.
You can spot white and black dots grouper Terminator how i call him as he grow so fast that start
eating all fishes that can put in mouth. Exchanged with shop for smaller other fishes.
Have lot of videos but here is not allowed to attach. 1995 year Italy.

It’s awesome seeing older tanks. If you can upload the videos to YouTube, you can always link them here

will upload to youtube some. its not transfered from hi8 to video as need hours and hours
but when i play on TV plasma i recorded shorty parts. ok will do asap. There is also date to
remember me on video.

The anemone so called in my country "Vlasulja" as looks like hair...its from Adriatic sea
our Yugoslavian Jadransko more and very adaptable to different salinity and beach shore
when low tides and hot sun burning...she love to eat small shrimps... also black algae
scrubber incredible cleaner adapt very well with marine temperature...he love to eat
almost all algae day and night. sea urchin.

You can spot that fish scratching body on rocks it was first problem as begginer without
karantine space that now this mistake will not repeat. Allready purchased smaller tank for it.
